Learning to Love my Own Physical Frailty!

As an honest, outspoken or straighforward kind of person, I must admit I am insecure with my own physical fallibility.  They say, "Nobody is perfect" but  I beg to disagree when I look at other woman, they seemed to be perfect in every way, physically. So how could that be? lol! on the other hand, in order to get over my physical insecurities, I am learning to love my own physical imperfection by seeing someone's imperfection as well, because I know there are other worst, than my imperfection.

To Blog or Not To Blog...

It's been a while I haven't posted any article for this blog, I missed it but sometimes I got to thinking if I have to continue blogging?. Due to the demand of work in the office and my responsibility as a wife and a mother to my only child, i'm becoming lazy to think of something interesting story to post.  I know a couple of bloggers who are my friends too, that have more than one blog who can still manage to maintain their site and could never missed a day without one article to post.  Man! they are so smart. I hope I  could be like them..."sigh".

People that are not worth to be friends with...

It's a waste of time to make friends with people you knew thay want something from you for their own benefit, and when they don't get it, they will find fault and tell the whole world you are a bad person. So, be extra careful with these kind of people because they are not worth to be friends with... because they are "Opportunist"

USe-ANA

Nowadays people are easily get sick because of the wrong lifestyle.  Because of this, Medicine manufacturers or Pharmaceutical companies provides different kinds of food supplement.  I'm not getting any younger, so I am very concious about my health right now. One of the food supplement I take right now is USANA.

 

Usually I'm not used to taking food supplement that has "no approved therapeutic claim", but my opinion changed when I found out about USANA, Mega Antioxidant Tablet. Aside from prevention and treatment of vitamin deficiency, it also supports healthy immune function.  One of my officemates asked me, "Why USANA? it is very expensive?" it was a good question though.  There are a lot of reasons why I used USANA, so I just simply answered, Health is very important, you must choose the quality food supplement.

Not Mission Difficult...But it's Mission Impossible...

Difficult is just like a walk in the park...

This is one of my favorite line in the movie Mission Impossible 2.  And this particular movie is one of my favorite.  Aside from the fact that the leading actor is extremely gorgeous, as well as the member of the cast, the story is also very unique, that is why I don't get tired of watching it over and over again. In fact, I am excited this year Mission Impossible-Rogue Nation, what it's gonna be like this time.

 

Humour Me

I was laughing so hard that it brought tears to my eyes when my friend/officemate said, she took a break from the Seminar she attended because she forgot to "Asphalt Overlay" her face.  What she meant was to put "Make up".  People nowadays has a very weird sense of humour don't you think?.

This is not the first time I heard something like that who uses different terms and meant it as a joke that makes a person laugh. 

Gentlemen still exist!

As a working girl having no car, I took a ride in a passenger Jeep in going to the office.  In our city, it is common of a jeepney driver to pick up passengers along the way if there are seats that are not fully occupied.  Because it is Monday, there were many passengers along the road awaiting to take a ride. The jeepney stopped when there was a single lady trying to wave her hand for a chance to take a ride.  I noticed that there were no more available sit even for one passenger. The drive's "right hand" took out an extra wooden seat, called "Extension", placed right at the end of the Jeep, for a lady to have a seat. My attention was caught to a single man who volunteered to vacate his seat for the lady.  The lady who was having a difficult sitting position in the extension, gladly thank the man. That was a nice gesture right? I believe there are still gentlemen guys out there, exist.

Deaf Pride

Look at this man.  He is deaf, but I admire him because he is industrious. Whenever this guy come to our office, I will make sure that I bought one of his "Paninda", because he sells various of food crackers.There are a lot of negative attitude that affect a deaf person's emotions, and their social life but it is not a hindrance for them to make a living.  Some people would think that deaf people are stupid, awkward, and unable to cummunication.  In fact some of not deaf people would make fun of them.  The truth is, they are just like us who have feelings that could easily get hurt. Hearing people should also give respect to people who deal with the world differently from them.  So instead of discriminating , or making feel like they don't belong in the society, you should understand them, and be compassionate, and most of all be patient with their hearing incapability, after all they are also one of God's creation.

Only Great Minds Can Read This...

I find this interesting to read and very funny...So I was kind of tempted to share this here.

If you can read this, you have a strange mind too.  I coudn't believe that I could actually understand what I was reading.. The phenomenal power of the human mind, according to a research at Cambridge University, it doesn't matter in what order the letter in a word are, the only important thing is that the first and last letter be in the right place.  The rest can be total mess and you can still read it without a problem.. This is because the human mind does not read every letter by itself, but the word as a whole.  Amazing huh?  Yeah and  always thought spelling was important! If you can read this forward it.

Scratch Paper Anyone?

When the demand of work are not numerous, I spent my spare time to look of some old files that are useless anymore in the stockroom.  My purpose is, to recyle or reuse them. I was glad with the result because our stockroom filled with worthless paper, were now being used to accomodate another set of new documents or reports coming from different departments or offices.
It is a very smart decison to recycle paper.  It does not only improves the image of an office, it is also helps the environment where the threat of Global warming is concern.  Recycling paper shows how responsible you are economically.  My job in the office requires a lot of paper works and printing.  Instead of using a new set, I use the reverse side of printing paper for taking notes or printing drafts or any kind of paper works like payrolls in particular.  Further more, recycling also reduces waste and improve efficiency. I like this idea more because as a very organize kind of person, I like seeing our office particularly in the stockroom area, where I can see less of clutter.

SUNDAY GOSPEL: Commit Your Work To The Lord...

...And your plan will be established. 

I was blessed and inspired by these verse which can be found in Proverbs 16:3. The Lord never fails his promises to us if are faithful to him.  So how can we show or commit our work to the Lord? of course by seeking and following God's will; when our work aligns with God's will, then success will follow.  Our talents and wisdom is the gift from God, so use it to glorify him by not doing anything wrong.  How can we expect God to fullfil his promise  if we work not according to his ways?  The very good thing is if we commit our ways and work to the Lord, he will bless our efforts and multiply our earnings. As a human being, we will still face times of difficulty, our only weapon is to trust God and everything work out for good. Amen!

I Passed!

If you work in the government agency there are many conditions you have to undergo in order for you to obtain a permanent position or to get a salary upgrade.

Aside from obtaining a Civil Service iligibility, there is also a requirement from the Information Management Service (CLE), in our agency to take the Computer Literacy Examination (CLE), and passed it. Otherwise, the chance to get a promotion or salary upgrade would not be possible for you to obrain.

I took the test twice. Fortunately, I passed the second time. The examination was not that difficult but it was time pressured. I was mentally blacked out.  I didn't even know where to save my documents, my hand was shaking. When the exam was over, I knew for sure I am going to fail that exam. And that was the first time I took that kind of exam. The second time around, I was so confident already. And this is the proof...

Friday Outfit

We are in our third week of what we call, "Friday Outfit". we are so into it that when we arrive in the office everyone was like...nice outfit! even if it's not really that extravagant or stunning for as long as we were having fun doing it. for the record, I am the author of it and I was glad all of them approved and having fun. Maybe you want to take a peek of what would be the outfit for today, so here is the proof.

The World Spinning Around You...

Vertigo Attack. A few months ago I have been suffering a constant headache, dizzines, imbalance and many sleepness nights (insomnia), so I went to my Physician only to find out I was going through a Vertigo attack.  I did some research about it and found out most causes of Vertigo aren't Life-threatening but some are very serious too, like it can cause a stroke in the back of the brain (Cerebellum).  My Physician advised, in order to iliminate the attack of Vertigo, you should avoid the following; the constant use of perfumes in your body, the use of fabric conditioner and bleaching, cold drinks, and sudden movement. And also, by using of contton buds in the inner ear can also cause imbalance and dizziness. 

On the other hand, research shows that many kind of Vertigo can be easily treated with simple maneuvers like "Head Positioning".  This is true because according to my research again, shifting of the head can cause the "otolith" ( Otoliths are commonly referred to as "Earstone", this will help with balance orientatio and sound detection) to move in the canal, trigging faulty signals to the brain.  So a series of particular head maneuvers can be used to reposition the otolith out of the canals where it can't cause any more discomfort.

Yesterday, as I was going to print out some important document in the office when suddenly the Elctric Power cut us off, and you were like...Grrrr!  I wish there are no more power interruption that has been going on for quiet a few days now, it makes us idle an unproductive.  Luckily I was able to save my work in the computer.  That is how important if you save from time to time while doing your work in the computer specially at times like this, such as "BLACK OUT"!.

It ‘so funny that in our division, me and my fellow workers came up with an idea to wear the same color of outfit every Friday. It was an idea that caught everyone’s attention in the whole office. Some would say “ what a coordinated department”. Isn’t it great? So to give you an example of this…here’s the proof.

Introduction

Hello visitors! Welcome to my blog. I’m not new here, in fact this is my third blog site, but unfortunately the last two didn’t work out after I gave birth to my only child four years ago.

I returned because I love writing even though im not good at it, and because I want to express my thoughts and ideas about anything and everything. So please comprehend and be a “little” bit condoling if my grammar sucks?!

I come up with this name of my blog “ DISCOVERING CLAVEL”, because I want you to know more of me and what I can share with you about anything and everything under the sun.

Its difficult to pleased everybody but I will try my “very” best to entertain you guys with my everyday post.

By the way, my name is CLAVEL, married, and has only one child. Im working in a government agency in the Phils., and striving to be a good public servant. Well, that’s all for now and I will see you guys around here for the next couple of days. Bye.
